The hot metal industry requires highly specialised clothing to provide maximum protection to their workers. We have produced a range of clothing aimed at providing world class leading edge protection to this industry.

We have worked closely with Melba Textiles who manufacture the unique PR97 fabric, to develop and produce clothing under the Edge brand.

PR97 is made from natural fibres which are inherently flame retardant. This fabric has been developed specifically to maximize protection against hot metal splashes. PR97 has a natural blend of wool and FR viscose fibres, providing built in protection that cannot be laundered out. Also because PR97 is made from natural fibres, it breathes and transports moisture away from the skin helping to maximize wearer comfort in all conditions.

We have produced a range of PR97 clothing in shirts, trousers, overalls and coats in various weights of fabric, providing a choice to the worker dependent on the garment requirements and the work environment in which they are to be used. Where possible we have utilised hi-vis colours to heighten protection in the workplace.
